The Fireplace Centre (Cumbria) Ltd  - Terms and Conditions.

This Information given states the legal relationship between Us (The FPC) and you (The customer). Please take the time to read this carefully.

Quotation/ Order acceptance acts as a legal binding Contract showing you have accepted our terms and conditions.


Installations

Fitting dates can be provisionally arranged in advance however no dates will be confirmed until all goods are in stock, we cannot be held responsible for any delays due to late delivery and damaged goods.

II. Though we offer a full site survey, this is not a full inspection. We cannot determine the condition or performance of the chimney/pipe work under floors etc.

III. On the day of Installation, we ask for you to please remove as much furniture as possible from the working area. Where building work is required there may bedust and soot deposits.

IV. We require all Solid Fuel fires to have the chimney swept before work commences,this will reduce soot particles and determine dry fuel blockages.

Flue performances vary on individual properties, therefore cannot be guaranteed to work, there are products to help lazy flue performance and if required can be supplied at an extra cost.

VI. We will not take any responsibilities for any damage due to any Sub Contractors or any other workers on site.

VII. All work excludes Carpet Cutting, Skirting boards, Dado Rails, decoration and boxing in of pipes; unless stated on the quotation/invoice.


Payment

deposit of at least 50% of the total invoice or the total price of the appliance will be required upon order.

II. Paymenis due on completion or within 5 working days of receipt of invoice if such arrangements have been made. Failure to do so will incur a late payment charge.

III. Non payment will affect the warranty of the product and all goods will remain the property of The Fireplace Centre until paid in full.

IV. In the event of any goods arriving damaged, the cost of the item may be deducted until repair or replacement at the agreement of management. However the rest ofthe Invoice total must be paid.

Any work required or requested not on quotation will be charged at an extra cost.Any work to complex to quote for accurately will be charged on a time and material basis (at an hourly basis)

VI. Non Payment of any amount due will result in further action being taken. In the event the goods are to be removed to recover our debt, Installation and removal costs will remain Due.


Cancellation

Cancellation of any order will be subject to a cancellation/ re stocking fee. Part payment may be required

II. If the goods have been made to your specific order and have been delivered to the premises; Unless they are damaged we have no obligation to take the items back into stock. In the case of this event you may return the items at your own cost and a re stocking charge will be required.

III. Any cancellations after purchase of order will incur a re stocking charge which may be up to 35% of the value of the contract.


Natural products(Granites/marble/timber)

Please note all natural products are prone to have veins/blemishes/imperfections. No 2 pieces will be the same. We cannot be held responsible for natural markings.

II. Solid Fuel hearths and back panels must be sectioned for expansion this will reduce the risk of cracking, though with no Guarantee


Please note;

We recommend only well seasoned wood and smokeless coals with stoves, the quality of fuel will determine the performance and efficiency of the appliance.

Chimneys should be swept at least every 12 months and stoves are to be cleaned out regularly.

Manufacturer'swarranty will only be valid if the user instructions are adhered too.
